From QTTV Broadcaster. The H.263 extension provides software-only realization of the video conferencing compression standard. It is designed for making video connections over the modem viable. As it is a QuickTime component, it can be used to compress QuickTime movie files as well as video input from cameras. Works optimally at wondows sizes of 352x288, 176x144, or 128x96 (movie windows will be resized to one of these sizes.) Good for low data rates and streaming live data. The current component works only in the PowerMac enviroment. In particular, you will not be able to send to a 680XX based Macintosh. To achieve useful frame rates, Apple recommends using the PowerMac 8100/80AV or better.
